A good bicycle helmet doesn't have to be silent. That's what the start-up Unit 1 thought when it successfully launched a smart bicycle helmet on the Kickstarter platform in 2021. With the Faro helmet, Unit 1 has developed a helmet that focuses on protection and visibility. The smart helmet is equipped with an ultra-modern light system and can also convince with its sophisticated ventilation. In addition, the helmet can notify help in the event of a fall via an emergency system. If you activate the emergency system, you have to confirm the integrity in the app after a fall. If this is not done, a defined contact is automatically notified and the location is transmitted. The helmet is equipped with MIPS, an additional safety system built into the helmet. It increases the energy absorption in case of rotational/angular impacts and can thus significantly improve the performance of the helmet in case of an impact.
Available separately is a remote control that attaches to the handlebars and sends a visual signal to the helmet so that other road users can see where you are going.
